We are all about fun times, and most of all, bringing joy to others through dance.

SL Dance Technics is a registered school of dance based in Abbeknockmoy, and is established as one of the leading dance schools in Co. Galway. offering fun and funky dance classes for all ages and abilities.

All students get the opportunity to learn different dance styles with routines that are exciting and varied, covering disco, street, freestyle, rock’n’roll, hip-hop, line dancing, commercial jazz & cheerleading, using a wide variety of music from current pop to westend show tunes.

Over the years SL Dance Technics has enjoyed overwhelming success with each year bringing something new and exciting to the mix.

2011 was no different...

In April over 20 students travelled to the world renowned pineapple dance studios in London and also enjoyed a workshop and show in the Westend.

SL Dance Technics won an award in Irelands first ever dance awards cermony in the category best stage production for the staging of the end of year show in the Black box theatre Galway.

Also this year SL Dance Technics welcomed a guest choreographer from Pineapple dance studios to Abbeyknokcmoy to provide an exhilarating dance workshop for all students.

2011 also seen SL Dance Technics Stage their first ever Flash Mob event along with other dance schools from the northwest of the country.

Earlier this year SL Dance Technics elite dancers won another National Title in the National Concert hall in Dublin, as well as winning the VFI Heats in their local area. Junior dancers also had success this year with Disco Divas from Mountbellew/moylough winning “Hawthorn’s got talent” and funky feet all from Abbeyknockmoy winning the Junior section of “search for the stars 2011”

last but not least in 2011, 7 young dancers made their first TV appearance on RTE's eleve8  "show off or get off" children's talent show.

SL Dance Technics are constantly preparing students for events, performances, competitions & showcases, and provide each and every dancer with the opportunity to perform on stage at the annual end of year show.

SL Dance technics has an energetic performance troupe that regularly perform at charity functions, private parties and various events. This group is available for functions of all types.
